yeah yeah i know 'custom isn't cheap'. whatever, i am not trying to win any shows or get a cookie for creativity. all i want is something different. it's not like i can just go out and make my own headlight housings or something. i just want something different to look when i walk out of my house everyday. i don't have the money to go out and graft an entire new front end on my truck just cause i feel like it. that is the point of the aftermarket parts companies, to give us something different. i am not looking to be original right now, i will worry about that when i get out of school. i just wish we had options, something, anything.

sounds like you bought the wrong truck if you want a cookie cutter truck you should of got a s10 the gmc is already diffrent thats why alot of people with s10 do the conversion to put envoy or sonoma frontend on

I got my envoy cover almost 2 years ago i think because when i got the truck it needed one. I hate the damn thing now.

You haven't looked very hard if you haven't found billet GMC emblems. There are 2 different sizes made, one for the full sizes and one for the Sonomas/Jimmys. Try www.billetspecialties.com I know they have both sizes. I found a Putco Punch style grill insert for my Sonoma on e-bay. I think it was a prototype part as it doesn't fit exactly right and I had to trim the ends of the G and C on the grill to get it to sit down in there right. My bumper cover is a stock SLE 4x4 cover with custom inserts in the openings. You just have to be a little more creative with the Sonomas to make them look different. Swap on a Bravada grill and bumper cover. Don't see many of those done.

haha yeah, i haven't looked very hard. yeah they make billet emblems for the fullsizes, i still haven't found any that look like they will fit on mine, even the seperate letter ones look like they are too big. i could swap on Bravada stuff, but instead of having a stock GMC front end i would have a stock Olds front end and my jimmy would just be a bravada with black window corners instead of painted ones.

it's not really that big of a deal. this isn't about what can i take off one car and put on another...i was just curious why aftermarket companies don't support the GMCs like they do the Chevy's. yeah there aren't as many of them as there are S10s, but there are still a lot of us out there.

Have you tried looking at the Safari emblems? For a while, they were almost as popular as trucks in the billit market. I think Empire motorsports made lots of Safari biliit accessories.
