I've been hearing alot about them lately..... i'm not at all interested in putting nitrous in my truck, just curious about it... but supposidly, their little single use cartriges where an "adjustable trigger unit is attached to a hose. The hose is then simply connected to the vehicles air intake tube, in between the throttle body and the air filter."

Has anyone else heard of these? and are they crap?

No, it works actually. I installed the kit on my friends 2.2 Cavalier. I can see it taking probably a tenth of your Qm time. The installation took like 3 seconds and when you hit the go button (modified bike tire inflator that was meant to be used with Co2) the car surges faster for about 3 seconds or so. Its definately a notable gain of power, but its gone quick.

Its not that the kit is a scam, it works just as the ad says it does. You're referring to eBay, right? Id say if you're looking to win a street race where someone is just easing past you a little, it would play to your advantage.

what if you run like 3 cartridges at once or something?

I also heard of people running nitrous on bikes with small bottles...any truth to this or are they referring to the above?
that sounds like a waste of money...and bikes have refillable small (dunno how many lb.) bottles that are made for bikes that are refillable...my friend has one on his 4-wheeler

I heard about it it's a scam. Bt as far as just juicing with no real injection ... my intresting tidbit. I had a beater sunbird for a winter car a couple years back and we decided to throw a fogger nozzle in the air box tapped the fuel shrader and hit it the 250 hp jet from the pro fogger kit I have.. and gotta say even just messing around with no tuning holy crap what a kick in the pants. Its a perfectly plausable idea having a disposable juice setup.. but if anyone would actually buy it who knows.

Read the thread again Rev...

I chimed in twice about them and using them. My friend had bought the kit, I installed it, and I was in the car for every time he used the kit. It does work, but its not spectacular and its not supposed to be.

Kind of suprising as I thought.

Im sure it would work 1000 times better with a 2.2L compared to a 4.3L.

I say its worth it because you can buy small (2lb) bottles from eBay for cheap that will hook up to the "bike pump" nitrous kit with the right connections. That yields a cheap and effective dry shot.

auto grade nitrous wont kill you. It just burns like a bitch if you inhale it. Its the same nitrous as medical grade nitrous except for the fact they add sulfur to it . thus making it Nitrous +

On topic: Sure it will work. But will it make a difference? that small of a shot hmmm...maybe some of us should test it.

well to have fun with it i have a bet against my friend in his Mercedes 190E inline 6, i got a a decent amount of upgrades and he jus edges me off everytime we race, so for shits and giggles i'm gonna buy the kit by the end of the month. Along wit a few more upgrades to beat his 6cyl.

Bet is for 3 drags 0-50mph Loser buys winner steak dinner at outback. :p

(lol he wanted 0-70 but wit my 2.2l i got nothing after 2nd gear so i talked him down)
